I'm asking this question because I'm not quite the antivirus expert, and I'm looking for an antivirus to use.

Let's say I would have an infinite amount of money to spend on antiviruses.
Which would be THE BEST?

I'm thinking NOD32, Kaspersky...?

Thanks!

I really want to know what antivirus (with infinite amounts of money to spend) uses the least resources.
I know I had a terrible time with kaspersky slowing my system down even though it's usually rated "the best"

Avast 15.5mb download (free)
Avira Antivir 16.38mb download (free)
NOD32 11.8mb download (paid)

These all seem to be spoken most highly upon.
Forget polls or ratings as they can be easily rigged.

Kaspersky is great
Check here for top10

I use Avira Antivir which is free and great and available in the download section

Edit: the top10 is for AV's that you have to pay for

If you don't mind paying it would be a good choice.
Avira was one of the first to be Vista ready so it seems safe to say they are on top of their game.

Bitdefender is also good and highly respected. But the latest version is 21mb download.
The size of the download usually translates into how much resources will be used up.

If you are thinking of going that rout then don't. Free protection is just as good.
Besides without a paid license it is likely you will not be able to get updates. So you might as well run no AV at all.
