| I've encountered a Trojan which hijacks anything related to online banking, it has infiltrated my banking and paypal. After logging into the service a very plausible web page asks for additional security data such as DOB, mothers maiden name, confirmation of memorable data and spoils itself by then asking for card numbers and pins which somewhat gives the game away....for me anyhow. I've run AVG, Kaspersky and Spyware Doctor none of which have identified anything. I've deleted all cookies, history etc to no avail. Can anybody suggest the next step? |

| OK. Have changed all passes etc from clean PC. However infected one crashed (just powered down) carrying out the full superspy so did a quick one (will do a full later and have altered my kids names in below info). Also below is Malware which didn't pick up anything. Have deleted old Java and am just about to commence the HJT. | Not seeing anything in the logs to worry about but we can take a closer look. Download ComboFix by sUBs from one of the below links. Be sure top save it to the Desktop. Link #1 Link #2 **Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your Desktop Close any open Web browsers. (Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc) before starting ComboFix. Temporarily disable your antivirus, and any antispyware real time protection before performing a scan. Click this link to see a list of security programs that should be disabled and how to disable them. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts. When finished ComboFix will produce a log for you. Post the ComboFix log. Important: Do not mouseclick ComboFix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall. Remember to re-enable your antivirus and antispyware protection when ComboFix is complete. If you have problems with ComboFix usage, see How to use ComboFix Post the ComboFix log in the next reply. |

| Should I download and install the XP recovery console or is this not necessary? I do not have the original disk, I do have a disk for the system on my laptop. |

| Normally System Restore is sufficient if anything happens. If you would like to install it then here are details. Go to Microsoft's website here --> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310994 Select the download that's appropriate for your Operating System ![]() Download the file & save it as it is originally named, next to ComboFix.exe. ![]() Now close all open windows and programs. Drag the setup package onto ComboFix.exe and drop it. Follow the prompts to start ComboFix and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Recovery Console. When complete, a log named CF_RC.txt will open. Please post the contents of that log in your next reply. |
