Hello people.

I have a friend who claims he can view everything i view myself on my computer when he is surfing the net. He says he has a program which gives him a history of which sites i have been on, i.e he can tell me how long i watched a video on youtube for.

I often delete my internet history and change my dynamic IP address, and i wonder if this is enough to stop him. Lol, i just find it a bit strange

Any help and suggestions would be great.

:)

He's probably winding you up.

If not he would have to installed some form of software or virus to do this.

Do a spy-bot or ad-aware scan as well as a virus scan and if nothing shows up you can be sure its rubbish.

Hmmm.....

But he actually can tell me which sites i viewed. I remember him saying ' you watched blah blah on you tube for 2.58 and then blah blah and knew exactly what i had watched etc.

I know it sounds naiive but he must be using something lol.

Also do this:

Disable Remote Desktop and Remote Assistance in Windows XP

Disable all remote access and remote desktop options.

I don't know how to do a spybot/adware scan to be honest.

I'm a novice when it comes to this sort of thing!

Thanks for your suggestions!

http://www.spybotupdates.com/files/spybotsd14.exe

Download, run, update, scan.

Let me know if it finds anything, to be honest you can remove everything it finds, its all bad.

Great! I would highly recommend doing a virus scan also.

This is more like a lesson for me. I do use Spybot with a good antivirus but I never thought that some one could actually see everything from other's PC.
