i recently changed internet providers so i could gt a better speed. since then my computer has been freezing. my dvd drive acts like its trying to read but there is nothing in it, the mouse wont work and i have to turn off the computer.
i have run scans for virus and spyware i have removed some programs i thought may be causing it. but i keeps happening. then i thought it miht be my bittorrent downloader but it has frozen when i hve not been using.
please help me.

Chances are that by using bitttorrent you have filled your PC with spyware and viruses.

I have moved your post to that forum, post a hijackthis log and we can get started.

You will also need to remove your bittorrent client before you will get help here, as they are basically used for illegal downloads.

i have scanned for viruses and spyware and removed all threats and programs that may cause this including the bittorrent program computer still freezes any help.

HijackThis

Use Hijackthis (HJT) only after completing the above scans.

Download and rename HijackThis (HJT)

• Double-click on HJTInstall.
• Click on the Install button.
• It will automatically place HJT in C:\Program Files\TrendMicro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe
• Upon install, HijackThis should open for you.
  • Close HijackThis and rename it.
  • Go to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.exe
  • Right click on HijackThis.exe and select Rename
  • Type in sniper.exe and press Enter
  • Right-click on sniper.exe and select Send To > Desktop (create shortcut)
• From the desktop open Hijackthis.
• If using Windows Vista, Right-click and Run As Administrator
• Click on Do a system scan and save a log file
• Hijackthis will scan and then a log will open in notepad.
• Copy and then paste the entire contents of the log in your post.
  • Do not have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Note: Although we have renamed Hijackthis to sniper, we will still refer to it as Hijackthis or HJT.
