Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM)
  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to the following:
    • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    • Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy and Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Your Java is out of date.

Older versions have vulnerabilities that malicious sites can use to infect your system.

First install the new Sun Java Runtime Environment

Be sure to close all browser windows before beginning the install.

Remove the old version(s)

Download JavaRa
  • Unzip the file and open the JavaRa.exe
  • Click Remove Older Versions
  • JavaRa will search for and remove any outdated version of Java and remove any that are found.
  • Click Additional Tasks
  • Place a check next to Remove Useless JRE Files and click Go
  • Exit JavaRa
  • Delete the JavaRa files from the Desktop

Additional Note: The Java Quick Starter (JQS.exe) adds a service to improve the initial startup time of Java applets and applications. To disable the JQS service if you don't want to use it, go to Start > Control Panel > Java > Advanced > Miscellaneous and uncheck the box for Java Quick Starter. Click OK and reboot your computer.

That just found a minor bit of adware.

Download Lop S&D by Eric_71 and save it to your Desktop. Lop S&D will only run on Windows XP and Windows Vista

Disable your antivirus and antimalware programs so they do not interfere with the running of Lop S&D. If needed see: How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware Programs

If you are using Windows Vista, right-click on LopSD.exe icon and select 'Run as administrator' to perform this scan.
  • Double-click Lop S&D.exe
  • Choose the language by typing of the corresponding letter and press Enter
  • Click OK at the informative window
  • Type 1, to choose Option 1 (Search) then press Enter
  • Wait until the end of the scan
  • A report will be generated, post the contents of it in your next reply.
A copy of the report can be found at this location: %systemdrive%\lopR.txt, in most cases C:\lopR.txt

I don't think this is a malware issue. I'm just not finding anything.

Is the computer still running slow or what is it doing now?

Its is running slow still
- Sometimes its loads my computer in seconds sometimes minutes. When i try to open chess or a programm that was suppose to take seconds takes minutes many.
- I looked at the report log and i see programs that i deleted a long time ago. For instance, stopzilla I deleted over a month ago. Is there any programs that can get rid of the left of junk.

I have read up on your other posts and i did a sfc scan. It said that i needed to insert the second disk and upload something. Would this cause the problem. If there was no viruses and this problem showed up. I don't know how this would effect my computer because there is no virus or trojan or anything to alter my hard drive files.
