A few days ago, I opened a multitude of different images in different tabs on Firefox, from various websites, via a Google Image search. These images were open for a few days, in a seperate Firefox tab group. Yesterday, I went to the tab group, and as I was viewing the images, the browser started going really slow. I ended up closing the images, and some videos that were open in another tab group, and things were still going very slow. So I restarted the computer (bad idea?), and the restart was very slow, both in shutting down and booting back up. It seems the computer is going even slower now. I updated Spybot S&D, 'Immunized', ran a Spybot S&D search, and came up with 8 entries, and removed them. Then I did a SuperAntiSpyware search and came up with like 200 entries, of the 'low threat' sort, and removed those as well. Things are still going very slow. It has been picking up a bit... When I first booted up the computer, it took maybe 10 minutes to start up. Then Firefox took awhile to load up, and behaved sluggishly. Like, anytime I'd click something, it would say (Not Responding) for a bit before it did anything. It's doing better now, but I'm still getting the routine slowdown and (Not Responding). The images I were looking at were of a 'dirty' nature, so I get the intuitive feeling like maybe that increases the chances of a malicious virus/spyware type of thing... but I can't be sure if that's the problem, or if I just had too much stuff open and I'm taxing my computer... or something.
I'm actually having a severe NotResponding-fest as I try to upload this HiJackThis file, so I'm gonna paste it into this post and the next:
