This Virus keeps interupting my web browsing sessions with a red screen and saying the site is infected. It clsoes the session. It demands $59.95 to solve the problem.

I have up to date Norton anti virus system which says there is no problem on my system. I have been in touch with Norton who say that they want even more money to sort the problem out .

Has anybody had similar experience and if so is there an easy solution

Don't pay anything. We should be able to fix this here for free.

Work through our Malware Removal Guide and post the logs.

Many thanks for this.

With my nephew and using the Malaware software you suggested we have eradicated the problem. What I am really puzzled about is that Malaware found the 78 infected and dangerous files which my paid for Norton Virus protection programme had not filtered out. Indeed when I manually ran a scan through Norton it did the scan and still reported there were no problems. My confidence in Norton has been shattered.

When I contacted Symantec prior to using this website they wanted £70 to deal with the problem regardless of the fact their programme had failed.

On the other hand my laptop which I use in the house from a wireless hub, is protected with a free Virus software programme and we have had no problems atall with it.

Thanks again for your help.

Rouge software is different than a virus or trojan. Most antivirus won't detect/block them. Antivirus isn't "bulletproof." You still have to use caution on what websites you visit and what software you download.
