Hello,
I am new here and hope I am posting in the right place. I have a huge computer problem and need some help. Let me start by saying I do not know a lot about computers so please dont talk over my head as I will not be able to understand. I am currently unemployed and am so desperate for my computer in my job search and need it to work. I dont have money to buy programs to fix it so that isnt an option. I will include my email address as I am currently using a friends computer and emails go to my phone so I can read them as I cant get online on my computer. That all being said here is my issue. My computer is a Sony Vaio with Windows XP. I got a virus called PRO ANTISPYWARE 2009 a few days ago. I tried several things to remove it and finally found Mailwarebytes and it was able to remove it. Problem is the virus changed all the settings on my computer before I got it out of the system. I can no longer get online and it changed a lot of my drivers. I cant do much of anything though now my computer is much faster than is was on the things I can do. My biggest problem is it changed my syatem adminastraitor. I cant restore my system to an earlier time because I no longer have access to that option. That being said no one has access as I am the only user on my computer so I dont know what do do. I can sign in and my password still works but I have limited access to any of my system. When this happened one other thing that happened is my computer screen went DIM, like I went from a 100 watt light bulb to a 60 watt light bulb. I also do not have my system recovery disk so I cant just wipe my computer out and start over even if I am able to save all my important files to disk. I might be wrong but I believe if I am able to become the adminastraitor again and restore my computer to say last month and be able to get online so I can install windows updates I would be fine. I know for sure I can do nothing as long as I cant do a system restore which I cant do unless I become the system adminastraitor again. I am beyond desperate as I simply have no money to be able to get help with this problem. I will do my best to provide any information I can in helping someone help me. I have COMODO anti virus and registry cleaner on this machine. I thank you in advance as I am honestly desperate for some help. |
