| Hi again Firstly, having 2 AVs installed is NOT a good idea. Both contain a real time protection element, which means they will be competing to look at files. This can cause slow downs and possibly crashes. You need to keep one only. Both are good - the choice is up to you. For RAM, I usually buy online. What I recommend is you visit Crucial and use their tool to find out exactly what memory is required for your system. Make a note of the details then try places like http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ http://www.amazon.com/PC-Memory-Comp...pf_rd_i=541966 http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Home Did scannow replace any of your system files?

| Hi! Thanks for your speedy response. I will uninstall one of the AV softwares. Is there any other that you recommend otehr than these two? The scan ran for a bit but I am not sure if it installed since it didn't show any messages. Thanks for the websites. I wll look into them right away. One last thing, this might not have anything to do with virus but offlate I realise that when I shut down my system, it won't shut down on its own (and takes a long time), meaning, there are many end now programs that appear and I have to close atleast 4 or 5 of them before it shuts down. I recognise one of them - its the voip client form the tray. Would you know why this is happening? Thanks, Tina |

| Hi Tina It does sound like a format and re-install might be a good option here - sometimes it's the best option. Infections can produce strange results, even after cleaning. If you haven't done so already, make sure you have all data that you want to keep backed up somewhere different from your PC. Is this a desktop or a laptop? Either way it will likely have a recovery partition which allows you to restore the system to its original state. Any documentation that came with the system should confirm this. Have a look at this thread for a variety of protection suggestions. http://www.computer-juice.com/forums...safe-web-7949/

| One anti virus can protect your computer so, keep on of them then update it and scan your computer in the safe mode because it is easy to scan and found in the safe mode because services are stopped. |
