Do you recognise that file and folder?

If not then delete the folder. If it proves stubborn, you may have to boot to Safe Mode to delete it.



Then open Hijack This and click on Scan. Check the following entries (make sure you do not miss any)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [c0.exe] "C:\aidualc3\c0.exe"

Please remember to close all other windows, including browsers then click Fix checked.

You may close HijackThis now.


I would post back with a fresh log for examination.

sorry glasswegian...........i was out all week because i had to reinstall. Something took away all icons, task bars, and even task manager. So I have now reinstalled.. And I completely forgot to set up security for the last few days. I was so busy on my scholwork that I never got around to it. I don't think anything got onto it in that state, but I am running scans as I type this.

No worries. If you wiped the hard disk before re-installing then you should be clean. Have a look at some of the stickies for security suggestions.
