I am new to the forum and fumbling my way through........Can some tell me how to get my laptop to start faster. I have some mini icons about 12 at the bottom of the screen that I can delete but come back on start up slowing it down. I realise they represent short cuts. Any suggestions please !

You mentioned before you have Norton.

Norton is well known for being a very demanding antivirus software and it is recommended to uninstall it and use an alternative.

Also go-to the downloads section by clicking downloads on the navigation bar at the top of the screen and download spybot, clean the PC, reboot and come back.

ok but I have tried various...software that scans tell you there are loads of probs then want you to buy !Is spybot like this

We only tell people to do things that work, spybot is free and is the best spyware remover available today.

Spybot do not offer a paid version so god knows how you are being asked to buy their product, they don't sell any products they are free.

I picked up your link for the download and install.......it scanned then said needed other version.I will try and copy and paste

That's impossible, they DO NOT offer a paid version.

Follow the tutorial.
