A firewall blocks attempts to access your computer from the internet.

Your question is a little hard to make sense of. But it is a firewall that blocks unauthorized attempts to access your computer from the Internet. Spyware is one of the things that may make an attempt.

A firewall blocks unauthrorised attempts to access your computer via the internet.Anti-spyware software can add another level of support which can block spyware being put onto your computer. So they both have a place in blocking unauthorised attempts to access your computer from the internet. So both if you meant anti-spyware software.
