I have been using this with my browser and it seems to be useful.

Quote:
For users surfing the World Wide Web with Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, MS Internet Explorer or Opera Doctor Web offers free plug ins which enable you to scan for viruses and all kinds of malicious programs any web link before it is opened, or any file before it is downloaded onto your computer. When a page is scanned, the URLs it contains pointing at scripts and frames are checked as well.
Install the plug in for your browser:

I use it occasionally. Hunting down virus information takes me to some shady sites now and then.

I am going to have to retract my recommendation for this add-on.

I have come to the conclusion that it is rubbish and it's results should not be trusted. I will leave this thread for reference though.

I have tried it on known malware download links and the results were that they are clean.

It is junk.

Click this link http://www.drweb.com/online/remove-drweb-online-en.reg

It will open a window, click Run, then answer Yes to allow it to merge to the registry.

You may have to restart the computer for it to be gone.
