Default Go away Norton!

Use the removal tool posted above, doing a normal uninstall using add/remove programs leaves all sorts of rubbish still on your PC.

Thanks for this link. I tried to get rid of Norton by uninstalling and you are right it doesn't take everything out. I am so glad I found this thread.

There are so many programs that leave all sorts of crap on your computer through add/remove programs. It's a good habit to check and make sure it really is removed, then see if there are better removal instructions online somewhere.

I know Norton is rubbish and a system hog in the 1st degree and I'm sure many people know it is, so how come Symantec are allowed to pedal there inferior applications at extortionate prices ? is there any form of watch dog for Internet vender's ?

Extortionate !!!

Edit:
Advert removed as it may have inadvertantly been seen to be promoting Norton.

I have stopped using Norton long long back. Although it was Norton Utilities that fascinated me when I first used Norton but it's security tools take too much of the system.
