Backdoor.Sdbot is a Trojan horse that opens a back door and allows a remote attacker to control a computer by using Internet Relay Chat (IRC). The Trojan can update itself by checking for newer versions on the Internet. Virus writers have created a Trojan which uses an unpatched vulnerability in Microsoft Office to take over Windows PCs. The Hesive Trojan can be disguised as a Microsoft Access file. Once opened in Access, infected .mdb files take advantage of a five-month old buffer overflow flaw in Microsoft's Jet Database Engine software to seize control of vulnerable machines.Incidents of the Trojan are rare but the creation of the first malware to target this unfixed security bug shows VXers are broadening the range of their attacks beyond targeting IE and Windows operating systems flaw to begin looking at Office applications. In this way skills associated more typically with targeted hacking attacks are being rolled into malware creation.Microsoft is yet to fix the Database Engine glitch but the creation of malware specifically targeting a security bug with a core component of Office ought to speed the creation of a fix. ® Use Norton Antivirus latest version. www.symantec.com

Trojan Back-Door Virus refers to the type of virus, not necessarily its name. It's called a Trojan because it got onto your computer by piggy-backing onto a program you installed... similar to the myth of the Trojan Horse. A back-door is a secret way into your computer that will get past any security you set up.The best FREE anti-virus software out there is AVG, which is put out by Grisoft. Keep in mind it is only free for personal, non-commercial use. If your computer is used in business, you need to pay for your anti-virus software. There is a paid version of AVG as well. Please be careful in the future to only install software from vendors you know and trust, especially when downloading from the Internet (even MORE so if you download it by P2P or torrent... programs found there are frequently infested with nasty additions!) If you download software, remember to scan the zip or exe file for viruses BEFORE opening them... it can save you a LOT of problems. Also, you may want to switch to Firefox... Internet Explorer can sometimes install software without your knowledge or consent, so you may pick up stuff without even knowing you're at risk.http://free.grisoft.comhttp://www.mo...en-US/firefox/

You could catch a Backdoor Trojan through a program called ICQ Nuke. Backdoor Trojan may infect your computer, it can also lock your mouse, hide your task bar, open and close your CD-ROM, monitor tasks running, disable "Ctrl-Esc" and "Alt-Ctrl-Del" commands, and control Windows. More information about this parasite and it's removal I found on http://www.spywareremove.com/removeBackdoorTrojan.html
