I hope so, but its not clear to my why my restore points keep showing up when i scan a spybot or superantispyware, even though I disabled shouldnt have any because i did the "clicked" "turn off system restore on all drives"

by the way the trend micro house call 6.5 is taking forever, status-updating and installing housecall??

Housecall will take about an hour.

I ran it last night in Firefox simply because I had never ran it in anything but IE.
You wouldn't believe some of the painfully long scans I have sat through knowing they would turn up nothing, lol
But if I recommend someone to use something, I figure I had better know how it works.

I think it is OK. Why it keeps showing up in Sys Restore is beyond me.
I had someone else look at this thread and they suggested the Rootkit scan, but it turned up nothing either.

Could be a false positive. Antivirus/spyware does not always know good from bad.
Sometimes "unknown" is seen as bad.

If there is anything, Housecall should get it.

hehe i bet its painful-- hehehe.. funny though.

Housecall is still opening- i wonder if I have to enable java or press something-- because its still "opening trend micro house call"

oki i tried version 6.6 and it said "insufficient privileges for house call- to resolve this please accept any trend micro security warnings.. No warnings though, not even any active-x..

The screen won't change. There should be a little status bar with a timer on the left.

I think things are OK.

Unless you want to try another.

Using Internet Explorer, visit http://www.kaspersky.com/service?chapter=161739400

Answer Yes, when prompted to install an ActiveX component.
  • The program will then begin downloading the latest definition files.
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Locate the Scan Settings button & configure to:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
      • Extended
    • Scan Options:
      • Scan Archives
      • Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK & have it scan My Computer
  • Once the scan is complete, it will display if your system has been infected. It does not provide an option to clean/disinfect. We only require a report from it.

  • Click the Save as Text button to save the file to your desktop so that you may post it in your next reply
* Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan
