First check for updates. Navigate to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com, and install anyCritical security updates listed. Have you installed anything lately?

Well, I was using Ux multi theme install and replacer.exe to run a new theme. Dodgey, eh? I think it's a virus because explorer.exe doesn't start with a capitol 'E', but that dialog box does.

Well, try running task manager by pressing ctrl-alt-del Go to New task (Run...) Type "cmd" (without the quotes) At the command prompt, type sfc / scannow This will erpair any corrupt files, you may need your XP disc. However, this sounds more like the WORM_KLEZ.E virus. Run HijackThis and post the log up here. Obviously, run a virus scan. HTH Last edited by mbonwick : 04-11-2007 at 03:25 PM.

See this post Guide For Attaching Logs To A Post Read this carefully and post the log in your next reply. 1. Please download Combofix by sUBs. Place it on your Desktop. combofix.exe 2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts. Select 1 and hit Enter. 3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Save the log to your desktop as a Text document (.txt). Post that log as an Attachment in your next reply. Combofix will create a backup to anything removed in C:\qoovox Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

I ran combofix, and it went through like 38 stages and then rebooted by computer... What do I do? It didn't give me a log or anything. ![]()

It should have saved to the desktop. Look in C:\Combofix or C:\qoovox for the combofix.txt log.
