Default help needed

Hi,
I hope someone can put me wise as to some activity happening on my pc.
I use AVAST anti virus. Lately i have been getting a new symbol appear in my system tray, which seems to be related to my Avast 'network shield' & when clicked on shows a panel that is apparently scanning outgoing email ! This seems to happen at irregular times. I've also experienced lousy ping rates on my so called 10 meg connection.
I've scanned with Spybot & Adaware but this still happens...anybody else had this happen?

All suggestions much appreciated.

Jeff

Download HijackThis Here
Once you have it downloaded install/save it to it's own folder!!! This is important for it to work properly.
For example save in C:\program files\hijackthis
Once installed open the program and select Do a system scan and save logfile.
**Important DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
Save the log as a .txt file.
In the next post click Go Advanced.
Scroll down and click Manage Attachments and add the log as an attachment.

You need to remove a email hijacker, someone has taken over your PC to spam.

At worst you will have your Internet cut off if lots of people report you.

Follow the instructions above mate and fast.
