| HELP!! Wireless connect 2 computers to internet Hey guys, I bought a netgear wireless router today and want to install a desktop and a laptop to be able to use it wirelessly. However i have so far been only able to connect my desktop to it. My laptop can see it but for some reason does not want to connect. Can anybody help me please? Cheers |

Login to the router by opening Internet explorer and entering the IP address of the router into the address bar. Your manual will tell you what IP address to use., something like 192.168.0.1 The go to wireless settings. Set the SSID to something relevant to you, leaving it generic like linksys234 means if someone else nearby does the same you can't tell if you are on your network or theirs. Set your channel to 11, its commonly the best. Leave the security blank for the moment. Save and reboot. Use the laptop to scan for the new network, hit connect. If that works then login again and setup a wep key. Then rescan using the laptop and enter the same key used in the router when prompted. My System: Hybr!d

| HELP!! Wireless connect 2 computers to internet Right i have managed to set the desktop computer up and it is working fine wirelessly. However now i have come to set up my laptop. I can see the wireless network the desktop is connected, but my laptop will not connect to it. Any ideas? It is driving me mad. Lol Cheers |

| HELP!! Wireless connect 2 computers to internet I have an Advent. The only time it has been connected to the internet before was the same internet connection but via a cable instead of wireless. |

| HELP!! Wireless connect 2 computers to internet Do you have the wireless icon in the taskbar? Right click it and select status, then tell me what is the status. Then, click the support tab and let me know if any details are there. |
