Well just today, the system idle processes was like 99 all the time, so I turned the comp off and rebooted. Now when I turn it on, the task manager doesn't refresh, when I press the shortcuts the shortcut properties come up.

And when I get firefox or something open I cant type letters, if I press things like f file comes up, s save as comes up etc.

The last thing I know is downloading AVG because my nortons running out. When i opened it it did take a while for the setup screen to come up and my computer went a bit jerky.

After 5 minutes everything works fine.

I just deleted the files, should I run a virus scan or what ?

Thanks if anyone can help.

Moved to spyware as it's likely to be the cause, one of the experts will probably help shortly.

Well the system idle process being at 99 is fine, because thats how much of the cpu is not being used.
