Open HijackThis and select Do a system scan only.
Place a check mark next to the following entries: (if there) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file) Important: Close all windows except for HijackThis and then click Fix checked. Exit HijackThis. ---------- Scan with Panda ActiveScan

I removed the file from Hijackthis.
However, I went to the panda site and clicked the scan my PC now button but there is no check now button. It goes to a page whose only option is to click a button called scan now and whether or not to do a quick scan or full scan. |

Another page comes up that says that activescan isn't compatible with the browser I'm using. I'm using google chrome right now but should I open it with internet explorer?

Ok, it finished the scan but then there was an error on the page so I didn't get a report.
It did say there was one infected file and something about Kaspersky Internet Security being disabled. But I have to redo the scan again. |

Run this online scan instead.
This scanner requires Internet Explorer Use the ESET Nod32 Online Scanner 1. Check the box next to YES, I accept the Terms of Use. 2. Click Start 3. When asked, allow the activex control to install 4. Click Start 5. Make sure that the option Remove found threats and the option Scan unwanted applications is check marked. 6. Click Scan 7. Wait for the scan to finish 8. Use notepad to open the logfile located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt 9. Add the C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt log into your next reply. |
