How do i get rid of any viruses & spyware?

what should i do to get all viruses/spyware off of my pc?

I use three programs and they are all free and have been spyware and virus free for 2 years. The links are all below.

McAfee is very good, I use that & Windows Defender - they both tell me my system is running normally. I do recommend these, I tried others but had to get rid of them, they were too invasive & stopped me doing a lot of stuff I wanted. These 2 seem ok.

To get rid of viruses & spyware you will need Virus & Spyware detector. You need to run the scan and your computer will detect what viruses and spyware has infected your computer. Then you will be able to remove them. But if the virus has already infected your computer, your computer is already messed up because of the virus. Same thing with spyware.

For antivirus you need either aVast or AVG (free version). For spyware check you should install Spybot and you must have a firewall also.

I firewall is not actually essential if you have a hardware firewall built into your broadband router.

McAfee along with Norton are both massive system resource huggers and are products which are distributed to the masses who have no better knowledge.
This of course is not an attack on their intelligence.

I use Spybot Search and Destory, Adware, Avast, Avant, and McAfee myself. I usually do another scan once I clean something and reboot to make sure it's really gone.

I use

AVG Anti Virus
AVG Anti Spyware
BOClean 4.23
Spy-Bot SD
AD-Aware SE

Keeps me clean :D

I think aVast antivirus does check for adwares also. I am not sure on that but once I got an warning about an adware being loaded in the systems.
