Recently, I received an email from someone telling me "My computer starts slow. It does not shut down very fast either. When it does finally start up the applications take forever to load. Sometimes when I type, the words do not show up on the screen until a few seconds later. At other times, my PC freezes and I see a little white box at the top left hand corner of the screen of my computer. Sometimes the whole screen goes blue. My slow computer causes me so many headaches. How can I fix these slow computer problems?"
So what causes your computer to load slow? I will give you the answer, plus I will explain how you can fix it easily without having to spend a lot of your hard earned money. The reason your computer starts slow and other problems happen is because of the registry. It's a large database that regulates all applications on a PC that uses Windows, but as time goes by, the registry gets too big, and this affects the entire computer.
There are a couple of ways you can fix slow computer problems. You can attempt to repair the registry yourself, but this is very hard to do, and can lead to the end of your computer if you make a mistake. If you were thinking of saving some money by fixing it yourself, imagine how much you would have to spend on a new computer! The best option is to get a registry cleaner, which will scan your PC for free, fix problems, and keep them from coming back. It will cost about 30 dollars, but you will have the piece of mind knowing that your PC is being serviced by a professional program.

How should you repair your problems? The safest option is to use a registry cleaner. Go to

Consider yourself warned. Do not post another link like that at this forum and especially not a link to ANY registry cleaner or unknown antivirus.

If you do post a link do not use TinyURL. Post the link as it appears at the web site it points to.

Isn't this is a huge myth to sell registry cleaning software? afaik the size of the registry doesn't matter at all and useless entries being there doesn't actually affect anything as far as performance (but can mess up things like add/remove programs).

If I'm not mistaken the registry by comparison to other files/folders is actually fairly small.

Would seem right. If you think most of the entrys are so short in terms of bits the whole thing can't be even too many MB I wouldn't have thought...
