If you removed it you will be fine.

That download links to CNET, we don't host the files so we are not giving out viruses.

CNET are also a huge company and I very much doubt they are either.

All it was, was a false positive
sometimes anti-virus software can report thing that aren't viruses

Wouldn't hurt to do a HJT scan. Could have already been infected.

**Important DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
Save the log to your desktop.
In the next post click Go Advanced.
Scroll down and click Manage Attachments and add the log as an attachment.

Download HijackThis Here
Once you have it downloaded install/save it to it's own folder!!! This is important for it to work properly.
For example save in C:\program files\hijackthis
You can then create a shortcut on the desktop.
Once installed open the program and select Do a system scan and save logfile.

If you have problems saving the log just copy and paste it in the next post.

The desktop is on the c drive. lol. Everything is on the C drive. Not making fun of you so dont take offense. your desktop is C:\Documents and Settings\{insert user name}\Desktop. Everything on your desktop is stored there.

Are you installing everything to your desktop? Or are they just shortcuts?

I think he is just a noob (no offence if thats not the case) taking a crash course. My gf's grandad transfered his icons to my gf's monitor to clear space on his comp. Shows you some strange misconceptions people have.

ANd he also says that because he has a password on his wireless router it dont matter it isnt secure when i suggested he scure it with WPA.
