When i go on google and type in for e.g. youtube it will re direct me to something else. Is my ie7 messed up.

Sounds like you may have spyware or a virus, head to the spyware sub-forum and follow the guides and post a hijack this log in said forum.

Norton is rubbish, please follow the instructions in the virus/spyware forum, there are guidelines for proper spyware/virus removal for a reason, it isn't as simple as running a quick scan.

Avast, it's free and performs better than any of the paid alternatives IMO.

When removing Norton be sure to do so using the Norton Removal Tool.

So tht anti virus u use is better, so my laptop wont fk up or get messed up when i get rid of norton

Yes it is better, however anti-virus software is just a removal tool not a prevention.

If your system is infected and by what you said it is simply changing to another anti-virus isn't going to make a scrap of difference.
