Keyloggers by design can be and are the hardest software to find. Most times even harder to remove.

Anything indicating you have one?

I have a file that will not delete. It's stating that it is being used by another program and nothing is being used that would associate it with it.
( I'm also new to keyloggers, trojans, etc. Avast always catching them before they are downloaded.

Also, what are tracing cookies?

Many thanks to everyone,

MPenney

This file that won't delete, what's it called, and where is it? Are you sure it's not a file that is required?

Download Unlocker by Cedrick Collomb
  • Open the installation file, select the installation language and click OK.
  • An installation wizard will pop up, click Next.
  • Choose the default destination folder C:\Programs Files\Unlocker and click Next.
  • Click Install directly. (Don't change anything)
  • After the installation completes, go back to the file/folder you want to delete.
  • Right-click on the file/folder and select Unlocker.
  • There should be a window opening, select Unlock all.
  • Now you should be able to delete your file.
