So is this something I should download and run constantly along with my Avast, Winpatrol, and Spybot?

You can run them if you like just to check them out. McAfee Stinger and the custom Stinger_Conflicker are stand alone, portable tools with no real time protection. Scan and remove only. How do I use Stinger?

Stinger is a tool that has been around forever it seems. It's not used in malware removal forums much now days but I know computer technicians love it since they can put it on a flash drive and carry it out on home calls. It's a great little tool.

Yeah I had read that, but didn't realize it was a stand alone. But now I have another question (imagine your surprize):

I now have 2 HDD. The C drive has my OS on it and my new E drive has most of my games and now my vid editing software on it. When I went to use the conficker, it would not allow me to select my E drive to scan. Why?

Not sure. Did you try the Browse option?

Yeah. I even wrote E\: in the "also scan" or whatever it's called option. No love.......
