It's possible they could have been corrupted. Uninstall them and then reinstall them fresh.

Is it just the email programs or the whole Operating System that seems to be effected?

I would say just email programs---Yahoo and MSN---but not AOL. Why? I don't know. Why the volume is so high on music at boot time and sign off. Volume control has stayed the same, in the middle between Loud and off. And the clicking sound whenever I click on anything with the mouse is very annoying. Email service on Yahoo and MSN is just the bare basics now---without the strip showing fonts, color, Bold, Ilal, Indent, etc.And MSN does not supply any old correspondence file with my replyies or Forwarding. Also, neither Yahoo or MSN have the Signature avaiulable any more with the email. I think the fact that the Yahoo techy told me he saw no email problems, or volume or clicking problems when I allowed him to get in to my computer is most significant. Apparently the problem is in my computer, not Yahoo or MSN.

Thanks---I have looked at add remove and find 2 that would appear to be the ones to uninstall and then install. They are: "MSN Internet Software" and "Att Yahoo Applications". Do these sound right and safe? Also---how do I re-install these 2 ? I don't see where the 2 could be re-entered

Lets do this.


Create An Uninstall List

1. Start HijackThis
2. Click on the Open the Misc Tools section
3. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
4. Click on the Save list button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file.
5. Save it to your desktop
6. Add the uninstall_list.txt in the next post.
