Ran the systemfile checker as you directed twice. Both times the test was completed successfully---no report was issued. Is that good news? What's the next step? Appreciate your help. Thanks

I usually click on Hotmail.com link from Yahoo address bar dropdown. Now when I do that I get an MSN Hotmail ad advertising the Hotmail email. Sometimes, if I'm lucky I can click on a request for information in the ad, then click on request to open an account, then am told I already have an account, etc., etc., etc---and finally get a place to type in my password---and voila, I am in!!! Takes ages, however. Right now, I can get into my MSM email thr regular way---but this will not happen every time.

You may need to redo the address in the dropdown box.

Right---but that's not the major problem as you know so well. I think it will go away when we solve the big problem of no fonts, color, indents, etc---and the loud sounds when I mouse click, etc., etc. What do you think of the suggestion MADCOWS made here a few days ago:

"if that doesnt work and only if it doesnt work ihad the same problem you did and if you did uninstall those programs and reinstall check the folders all the data was in i found for me when i tried that the virus was in there but the data was gone basicly it was waiting for me to reinstall .... i eventualy had to download both programs to a desktop folder called msn and yahoo ... never had any problems from then on" If you agree---and could tell me how to do it, maybe I should try it.

I have been suggesting that you reinstall anything that has been corrupted. Reinstall msn messenger.

MADCOW7---

Since our problems seem to be similiar, and you were successful in getting rid of the problem, could you elaborate a bit on how you did it---what you did, so I can try it? I need all the help I can get right now. Sure will appreciate it!

I've done everything suggested to me, with no measurable results. I thought we were making progress at first---but it has be a number of days since I heard from anyone. I just know there are people out there who have the answer to this problem, and will help me. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Try making a new post in the Email, Voip and IM Discussion forum.

More people will see it there so a response will be more likely.
