| Hi my computer has been able to access the internet for the last year and now suddenly it cannot connect. It is wirelessly connected to the network. Even though the computer is connected and i can access files on other computers i cannot go on the internet. It says the page cannot be found. I am using Avast and all firewalls are disabled also i recently deleted a bunch of trojans |

| Tried system restore? also i had a similar problem its very frustrating isn't it, i had to re install windows but don't worry i doubt that you will need to , welcome to cj i see you joined in march and have only 1 post, anyway back to your question, have you tried system restore? and how long after deleting the Trojans did your Internet stop working? Also this should be in networking modems etc i expect a mod will move it for you,

| well suddenly yesterday my internet stopped working on that computer. At the time i knew there were Trojans on the computer but i hadn't gotten round to cleaning them. I then cleaned out all the Trojans but i still have this internet problem. I haven't tried system restore because maybe i could get those trojans back? |

| no you wont get them back , you've been sent them or picked them up from visiting naughty sites or phishing sites etc, also try system restore and see if that helps don't worry it just restores your settings to a previous date and its completely reversible.

| That's it?, you need to get anti spyware a firewall etc. i recommend sticking with avast but i use avg, Google spybot s&d this gets rid of the nasty spyware and stuff and search for comodo this is a good firewall all free. but first of all we need to sort out your Internet connection, have you tried the simple steps like disabling your connections and shutting down your system unplugging your wires and leaving for a bit?

| well thanks for the help and it seems that system restore did the trick. The only problem is that the Trojans came back. That won't be a problem though since i know how to remove them. thanks |
