Default Norton 360 auto-protect playing up

I have indeed tried freeware as well. I have AVG on an older laptop, as well as avg antispyware on here, and I have superantispyware on both machines.

Admitedly the older versions of norton where slow, but Norton 360 and 2008 are so much faster!

3) Dell Dimension 2350 2.4GHZ Pentium 4, 1GB DDR RAM (1x PC2700 and 1x PC2500 (Something like that) and 64MB onboard graphics.

Norton is bloatware though and sooner or llater it will kill your machine.
The number of processes runing at once, in Norton is ridiculous.
Certainly the bloatware, that hogs all the resources, will be less apparent in newer higher spec machines, but it's still there.

If you like it, then stay with it, but you are one of the very few folk that I have come across, that actually praise it. As for me, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, unless I didn't like them

But for the rest there specs are pretty much the same as yours.
