Default norton all in one (what do you think)

i send a check to norton yesterday before i foundf this forum. i am having second thoughts. alot of review are mixed. some said it was good and some says it is bad. has any one tried this product. if you had , what was your experience with it.

Default norton all in one (what do you think)

Norton is a resource hog. It slows down even above average systems.
Why pay for a service that can be had for free.
I would consider trying some free programs before committing to Norton.
Avast! Home Free for instance. Or Avira.
For a paid AV NOD32 seems to be the best.
There are free firewalls also.
Visit the Downloadshere for good choices.

i love this forum. finely some one who speaks the truth instead of some one trying to sell me a product. i am going to cancel my check. the cccleaner is awesome. i feel like i have special powers :D

I would not have gone for Norton. I use Nod32, fantastic AV.

I loved norton 2003
after that it all went downhill, resource hog

It is complete and utter crap, the only thing the company is good at is marketing.

It is overpriced, resource hungry, full of bugs and not very good at removing either viruses or spyware.

Free alternatives are much better, and free!
