Default Nortons Removal Tool

Hi guys, after convincing my m8 to not re-new his norton`s internet for yet another year a few months ago,( he`s had norton for five year`s now, kept on subscribing) okay, okay, guy`s get off the floor, stop laughing and grinning like the cheshire cat,
his pc is running a bit slow and i bet it`s down to norton`s only being un-installed from the add and remove programs in control panel and as i`ve not used this program before my question is this
Does the removal tool un-install all of norton`s programs or can you select the one`s you want to remove i ask as i`ve never used it before and he`s adament that he want`s to keep norton`s go-back as he says it has saved his pc on many a time
all replies appreciated

Norton Removal Tool (SymNRT) < You choose the version. It shouldn't remove Ghost or anything like that.

I think Go Back is part of the security. It's better to make a backup and save it on a disk. Having your backup on the same drive as you are backing up sort of defeats the purpose of a backup,

Hi redden137,

This is Mike from the Norton Authorized SUpport Team.

Can you please tell me what Norton product and version you are trying to remove - is it Norton System Works or was GoBack a separate install?

If you would like to keep the GoBack portion of the application, depending on the version you have installed, you should be able to use Add/Remove and choose "change" and de-select the apps you want removed while keeping GoBack.

Please let me know what product and versions you have installed so I can provide you with the correct method.

Thanks,
Mike
