I have tried a few things but I can click on some web pages and they will start to load and then they will do nothing please help this is a new computer and I am a little new to this also

Lets do a quick check for malware.

Download and rename HijackThis (HJT)

• Double-click on HJTInstall.
• Click on the Install button.
• It will automatically place HJT in C:\Program Files\TrendMicro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe.
• Upon install, HijackThis should open for you.
  • Close HijackThis and rename it.
  • Go to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.exe
  • Right click on HijackThis.exe and select Rename.
  • Type in sniper.exe and press Enter.
  • Right-click on sniper.exe and select Send To > Desktop (create shortcut)
• From the desktop open HiackThis.
• If using Windows Vista, be sure to Run As Administrator
• Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button
• HijackThis will scan and then a log will open in notepad.
• Copy and then paste the log in your post.
  • Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Even though we have renamed HijackThis to sniper, we will still refer to it as HijackThis or HJT.

I can't see anything in there that would be a problem.

Your Java is out of date leaving your system vulnerable.
Older versions of Java have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system.

Updating Java:

• Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u3
• Scroll down to where it says
  • The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications.
• Click the Download button to the right.
• Check the box that says:
  
  • Accept License Agreement.
• The page will refresh.
• Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
• Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
• Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
• Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
• Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
• Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
• Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u3-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.

• Double click My Computer on the desktop, Locate this folder:
  • C:\Program Files\Java
• Open the Java folder and delete any subfolders except the jre1.6.0_03 folder which was just created by the newest Java installation.

Try doing some maintenance also.


Download CCleaner

• Double click on the ccsetup.exe file to start the installation of the program.
• Select your language and click OK, then next.
• Read the license agreement and click I Agree.
• Click next to use the default install location.
• Under Install Options, choose all the default settings
• Click Install then finish to complete installation.
• Double click the CCleaner shortcut on the desktop to start the program.
• On the "Windows" tab, under "Internet Explorer," uncheck "Cookies" if you do not want them deleted. (If deleted, you will likely need to reenter your passwords at all sites where a cookie is used to recognize you when you visit).
• If you use either the Firefox or Mozilla browsers, the box to uncheck for "Cookies" is on the Applications tab, under Firefox/Mozilla.
• Click on the "Options" icon at the left side of the window, then click on "Advanced."
  deselect "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours."
• Caution: It is not recommended that you use the "Registry" feature unless you are very familiar with the registry as it has been known to find legitimate items.
• Click on the "Cleaner" icon on the left side of the window, then click Run Cleaner to run the program.
• After CCleaner has completed its process, click Exit.

I was hoping the ccleaner may clear your cache and help with the web pages.

The Java was a security update and can sometimes help with viewing web pages.

I will think and try to come up with a direction to go.
