There is an online anti-virus scanner from Mcaffee you may not be aware of. I think it only works with Internet Explorer, and it won't find as many as a retail copy will but it's a good starting point who's worried they might have a problem with a virus.

I've used it many times on other PC's. It's saved me a couple of times, finding really nasty virus' and deleting them. I'd have to back up the suggestion that you use this.

There are others out there but this is the most reliable and is not going to try and sell you anything when you're done (last time I used it)
