Ok, heres a complicated issue. I posted it on many other forums weeks ago but most of them were american/international.
So i couldnt ask for their help regarding this particular issue.(issue of registering me)

THE MAIN ISSUE (original post)

"
I play online poker and we have to install their software and register via software, not the website. (in most cases)
The software tracks your movement, recording IP, etc., so that you donot have many multiple accounts, which are playing at the same time, which protects the integrity of the game.
But my problem is that I used to have a "play money" (no real money involved) account at one of these sites; largest actually. Pokerstars.com
I was just testing the site and used a screenname that came in my mind at that time. (If some1 decides to help me, i will pm them the screenname and maybe they can check it out, etc)
But i play at other sites decent sites, where i use just one name and the virtual poker world, my friends, and poker ranking sites (pocketfives.com) recognise my by that name.
However, when i decided that i was ready to play at stars and decided to deposit and register a real money account, like we can open at any other site using a different email address, I couldnt register (it gave me some internal error). I uninstalled the software and installed a new one and was faced with the same problem again.
So i contacted stars.
Their reply was what u would expect from any big, trustworthy company. The said that i will have to deposit and move to real money games via my play money account. WHAT!! RIDICULOUS. I mean i understand thier concern about security but at other sites allow real money account via a different email address. I told them that they could register me internally and i could give them the details so that they can themselves make a deposit in my account from the bank. But the answer was that i could do it via the software and under my play money account.

So i used and "HIDE IP"; ANONOMIZER program so that i could register under my desirable username.
i reinstalled the software and used a different ip but from the same country, as me UK.
However, my computer was the same.
During registration it gave me the error again.

COULD IT BE THAT EVEN AFTER UNINSTALLING-REINSTALLING THE SOFWARE AND CHANGING THE IP, THE REGISTRATION THE UNSUCCESSFULL BECAUSE THE POKERSITE'S SOFTWARE SOMEHOW RECOGNISED MY PCßß

I KNOW THIS IS A DELICATE MATTER, AND THAT'S WHY I EXPLAINED THE REASON I AM DOING THIS.
I CAN PLAY ON STARS USING MY PLAY MONEY ACCOUNT ANYTIME FOR PLAY MONEY. MAYBE U CAN MEET ME THERE.

Any help or any advice in the right direction will be much appreciated. "

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE REPLIES I GOT:

" i'm at work so i can't go to those sites you've listed, but have you read through their terms of service? they may have a policy in place that you are trying to go around. i'm not saying you're trying to circumvent their security, but rather that they may already have a process that you agreed to when you signed up."

" thanks for your reply moondoggy.

I have a play money account. Obviously like i said earlier, these sites dont allow multiple real money accounts (cos of colluding, cheating, etc) and if your spouse, etc want to play on the same pc, they will need to email their support regarding more than a couple of account. But with play money account, at most sites (like fulltiltpoker, partypoker, ultimate bet, etc) you can open unlimited play money accounts using a different email address. They dont even ask for anything other than name and email. No address. But at pokerstars.com when u open play money account u have to sign up with all info. Although I read on some poker forums and rakeback sites that if u have a play money account u can make some changes when reregistering for a real account by using initials in name instead, a different email, etc.

I had a play money account at one such site but for my real money i wanted rakeback. So i used a different email and reregistered through rakeback and its all fine.

Its not a big problem as you havent done anything serious like deposited real money or played at real money tables.
The thing is once i have a real money account that i want, i am never ever going to touch the play money account. So there is no trouble. I will only use one active account.

Anyways, let me know if u need anything else.

If I could use a different computer and some IP anonymizer during registration only, (from experience with rakebacks and all) i think it shouldnt be a problem.

Then i can use that to login to deposit and completely abandon my play money account.

Once i deposit, even if i get a call from them saying that i have a different play money account and i could use only one, I THINK THEY WOULD WANT ME TO USE THE REAL MONEY ACCOUNT AS WELL.

I had a chat with them and it seems that the initial registration is the only issue. Once i deposit it should be fine. "

"It's possible that the poker site recorded the MAC address (a unique string of numbers for each network adapter) of your computer's network adapter so changing IP addresses won't help. If they did capture your MAC address you will need to use another network adapter to connect, and even then connection may fail, no guarantees.

If the software did record your MAC address then the software in my opinion is spyware, but you take this information as you wish."

THE LAST RESORT

I went to my local library but i was unable to install and register an account at pokerstars as they didnt allow me to install anything.
So, if some1 here, in the United Kingdon, can help and register a play money account for me I will then be able to access it and change my paasword and start my day-to-day business.
I didnt ask any1 from other forums as they are not based in UK, and stars software wil recognise that.
So please pm me or post here.

REALLY NEED SOME HELP

Regards,

BTW: I AM HERE ONLY FOR THE NEST 10 MINUTES AND WILL BE BACK AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS. PLEASE BE PATIENT AS I WILL REPLY ASAP:

Regards,

I highly doubt the site is that hot on security.

If you are getting an internal error when re-registering then it is likely to be a problem with the software rather than them blocking you.

Have you tried re-installing the client software?

hybrid, i there is no problem with the software, system, etc.
I have reinstalled it many times, on two computers and 1 laptop.
same erros ,same issue.
obviously changing the ip didnt change anything.
So it must be network card, ip or something, common for all computers, etc

I have been on other forums and this happens when a family member want to register, etc. this prevents two people colluding (seeing each others cards, etc), etc. and thats why the sites take this seriously.

Though I must inform u that this is the only site which is that strict, but nevertheless it is alose where there are less bots and real players.

btw. all the pcs are running different systems, etc. (server 2003, xp on 2)

Only thing it can be is IP then.

Which you can only change by calling your ISP.

I have a dynamic ip provider, and yes i have tried that + anonomyzing software on top of it.

I dont mean to sound persistent, rude, but i will only post such an issue after trying the basic but necessary stuff.

As a webmaster I can assure you only IP or email would raise a red flag.

MAC address at a push.

There is no other way to track you.

Obviously credit card details would match accounts also.

The anonomyzing software could be blocked, that is not a good way of changing IP.

Who do you get your internet through?

'I know you will, lol' what?

FYI talktalk do not offer real dynamic IPs. :D

Almost all providers give you a dynamic IP by default, unless you arrange it otherwise. However, a lot of these ISPs use a system whereby your address is "sticky" - that is to say, that if you switch your router or modem off and on again, it's likely you'll get the same IP address unless the device is off for a prolonged period.
