Hi, let me give a bit of background to the problem.

A couple of weeks ago I had a couple of trojan horses work their way into my registry. They kept directing me to some website to download malicious anti-spyware. I managed to get rid of the spyware on my machine, though it came back again but AVG picked it up the second time round.

Now Im left with a new problem which Im not sure is related but thought that background may be relevant. Basically, my browser is gone FUBAR. Everytime I go to google, search something and click on one of the hits I get directed to a completely random site. This has been happening all week, I run scans every night and have run several since just to be sure but they havent picked up any threats.

So, my question is, is it possible to have some kind of browser related virus? Or is there a virus hidden away in my computer that just isnt being picked up by my scans?

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks guys

Follow the guide stuck in this forum so the malware team can see the logs, without them no one can say if you do or don't.

Wow, wasn't prepared for the rapid response! Yeh thanks Dave. As soon as I posted the thread I saw the stickys and read through them. Just going to leave it for now. Something strange is going on with our router - BT do my head in - for some reason it keeps disconnecting so actually doing anything online is a nightmare at the moment.

I'll have another crack at it in the new month in the hope BT pull their heads out. Thanks again, keep you posted :)
