My Dell laptop has just run out of its Mcafee pc protection software so I guess I need to get some more?. The laptop is only really used for internet access via tiscali broadband - what security/anti-virus is essential (not wanting to spend too much money either......)

Avast is my choice, free and better than the paid stuff, make sure McAfee is fully removed first.
