Good evening, i wonder if someone could help. I have recently removed a trojan horse with the help of EVILFANTASY but not been able to remove the actual tools which removed the trojan and spyware in the first place.

I currently have installed on the computer:

Superantispyware
Ccombofix
SDFix
ATF cleaner

Tried downloading "Oldtimer - Moveit" to remove the above , but it wouldn't download due to a system32 error.

Many Thanks
Chris

did you try uninstall from the uninstall menu in control panel? That would be a good start. Then going to the folder the programs are in and searching for an uninstall program. After that a good old fashioned tweakUI program might help solve your issue. As for your download. Make sure the download was successful and that you downloaded the newest version and that it is in fact a win32 executable.

Thanks Dice, they don't actually appear in the control panel add remove programme area and so there's obviously another way to get rid of them

A tweakUI programme? Never heard of it before but i'll do a search.
The proeblem is the download wasn't successful for some reason or another!!
Everything else i've tried downloading i haven't had a problem with

Like I said there might also be an uninstall executable within the program's folder.
and i think tweakxp is a good tweaking program.
Then there is the slight possibility that the program doesn't need uninstalling and just needs a good delete boot kick to the trash can

No worries, obviously it's not a big thing so i've moved the desktop shortcuts to a folder in my documents, this way no-one should go clicking!!

would you not delete the files in the program files folder under the name and then delete the registry keys?
then again that could be the stupidest idea ever ?
im not sure
