I see the same as sjb007 - no mention of installing. If you did want to install a rootkit, then use a Virtual Machine.

Default Rootkits - What Are They?

I hope i am not intruding but I believe I may have a background virus none of my scanners detect. I was wondering if there is a program that I can Install to run before windows, or something to make this go away I have already ran a recover completely reformatting my drive what do I do.
I am being told it maybe a rootkit virus but then I don't know.
