I posted this earlier on a separate thread, but I re-did all the scans in the proper order according to the instructions so I am starting this thread to post my correct logs.

The issue I am having is that anytime I search for something in any search engine and then click on a link, it redirects me to random websites. Also, occasionally when I plug in my USB cable it shuts down my computer and I get a blue screen that says my computer has been shut down to protect from unwanted programs or something like that. Lastly, earlier today I had numerous "security warning" pop-ups, and my desktop background was replaced with a "Warning Computer in Danger" background. When I restarted my computer, the background went back to normal, but was soon replaced with the warning again.

Since running the scans, the main problem I am still having is the search engines are still redirecting me to other websites when I click on a link of one of the search results.

Here are my logs:

Hi mate

what i advise you to do is firstly download Zone Alarm Extreme Pro: http://www.zonealarm.com/security/en...nload-zaxs.htm
This has Anti virus/spy-ware and browser security. This is by far the best ZA product out. unplug all peripherals from the usb ports etc to save from shutdowns. this will treat viruses and spy ware. let me know if you have any probs with the above.

I believe I supplied all the logs you needed. Are you still waiting for more information from me? If not, do you know of a solution to this?

Thanks.

Sorry for the delay.

Open Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.

* Click the Update tab.
* Click Check for Updates
* If an update is found, it will download and install.
* Click the Scanner tab.
* Select Perform Quick Scan, then click Scan.
* The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
* The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
* Copy & Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

----------

Download DDS from |HERE| or |HERE| or |HERE| and save it to your desktop.

Vista users right click on dds and select Run as administrator (you will receive a UAC prompt, please allow it)

* XP users Double click on dds to run it.
* If your antivirus or firewall try to block DDS then please allow it to run.
* When finished DDS will open two (2) logs.

1) DDS.txt
2) Attach.txt

* Save both logs to your desktop.
* Please copy and paste the entire contents of both logs in your next reply.

Note: DDS will instruct you to post the Attach.txt log as an attachment.
Please just post it as you would any other log by copy and pasting it into the reply.

Download Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to the desktop to remove Windows Messenger.

Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

Unzip the file on the desktop. Open the MessengerDisable.exe and choose the bottom box - Uninstall Windows Messenger and click Apply.

Exit out of MessengerDisable then delete the two files that were put on the desktop.

----------

Go to Add or Remove programs and uninstall:
  • LiveUpdate 2.6 (Symantec Corporation)
  • Search Assist
  • URL Assistant
----------

Download ComboFix© by sUBs from one of the below links. Be sure top save it to the Desktop.

Link #1
Link #2

**Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your Desktop

DO NOT run it yet!

Note: the below instructions were created specifically for this user. If you are not this user, DO NOT follow these directions as they could damage the workings of your system

Delete these files/folders, as follows:

1. Go to Start > Run > type Notepad.exe and click OK to open Notepad.
It must be Notepad, not Wordpad.
2. Copy the text in the below code box by highlighting all the text and pressing Ctrl+C

Code:
KillAll::

DDS::
TB: {A057A204-BACC-4D26-9990-79A187E2698E} - No File
mRun: [UserFaultCheck] "c:\windows\system32\dumprep.exe" 0 -u
Filter: text/html - {0f17e8da-ab71-41ab-b57f-eac6621161a9} -
AppInit_DLLs: c:\windows\system32\nafamamo.dll

File::
c:\windows\system32\nafamamo.dll
3. Go to the Notepad window and click Edit > Paste
4. Then click File > Save
5. Name the file CFScript.txt - Save the file to your Desktop
6. Then drag the CFScript (hold the left mouse button while dragging the file) and drop it (release the left mouse button) into ComboFix.exe as you see in the screenshot below. Important: Perform this instruction carefully!

ComboFix will begin to execute, just follow the prompts.
After reboot (in case it asks to reboot), it will produce a log for you.
Post that log (Combofix.txt) in your next reply.

Note: Do not mouseclick ComboFix's window while it is running. That may cause your system to freeze

----------

Please go to VirusTotal.com
(If more than one file needs scanned they must be done separately and logs posted for each one)

1. Copy the file path in the below Code box:

Code:
c:\windows\system32\drivers\vsfoceemvnwyqu.sys
2. At the upload site, click once inside the window next to Browse.
3. Press Ctrl+V on the keyboard (both at the same time) to paste the file path into the window.
4. Next click Send File
Your file will possibly be entered into a queue which normally takes less than a minute to clear.
This will perform a scan across multiple different virus scanning engines.
Important: Wait for all of the scanning engines to complete.
5. Copy and then Paste the link to the results in the next reply

----------

Next post please add:
  • ComboFix log
  • VirusTotal link

Look for and delete any of these files/folders you find.

ComboFix.exe file, C:\ComboFix folder, C:\QooBox folder, C:\WINDOWS\nircmd.exe, C:\combofix.txt and C:\ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt

Then restart the computer and try downloading ComboFix again.

I have deleted all of those files that existed, and also deleted them from my recycle bin. I restarted my computer, but I am still getting the same error when I try to download it.
