After getting more and more experiences with this b*stard bit of spyware it really deserves it's own thread.

"Smitfraud-C.Toolbar888" or "Smitfraud" for short is a collection of spyware that is probably one of the most persistent and damaging trojans out right now.

All the top programs have difficulty removing this trojan but there is a stand alone fix available:

Download the "SmitfraudFix.exe" on that site to rid yourself of this rubbish.

The tool is best run in safe mode!
