| Hi, Recently Comodo Firewall has been giving me alerts that something is trying to access System. It says that "System is a safe application, however if you are not sure about the program, choose block" or something similar to that. So I click block. No viruses though... | It's not saying what it is that's trying to gain access? |

| It said another computer is trying to access my computer. Comodo's logs don't show the message, but the source IP was 10.1.1.5, Source port was 138, Destination IP was 10.1.1.2, Destination Port was 138. Does that mean anything?

| Ahh, okay. So is it safe to allow them? Or should I keep blocking?

| I'm really not sure. Firewalls are not my strong suit. I'm very tempted to think that 10.1.1.5 and 10.1.1.2 is your router. I'll send Serverguy a PM and have him look at this thread when he can. He's pretty good with this sort of thing. |

| Can I have an ipconfig /all please: Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt: In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command: IPCONFIG /ALL Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command. Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter. Paste the results in a message here. If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here. Are there any other computers on your local network? Port 138 is used for Netbios, which is how computer communicated before XP came along basically. Hence why I asked if you have any other computers, what OS do they run? You never want Port 138 going out to the internet, it should always stay within the local network, or it is a huge security hole. Also, can you check to see if your router's firewall is enabled? (only if you have a router obviously).
