I see your point that means the only way to really test them is to try them out and work out which one we prefer.

Don't fall for marketing schemes.

Spywear Terminator is OK but it has some advanced features that can be hard to understand and can easily confuse someone into doing something to their PC that will leave it unbootable. It also installs the Crawler toolbar. Not a very good thing for a security product to do.

As Dave stated, SUPERAntiSpyware is very good as well is MalwareBytes Antimalware. They are both powerful and very safe with free and paid versions.

I am with Ef there. :) SUPERAntiSpyware and MalwareBytes Antimalware are 2 extremely good programs indeed. I personally use a combination of the 2.

I'll give SUPERAntiSpyware a trial run to see how it goes. The longer I leave it the more my pc is at risk atm.

I'll let you know how it goes

Go HERE

Scroll down to the instructions on how to install the free version. If you install it by the default settings it will run unnecessarily at startup so you need to adjust the settings.

I strongly recommend you add MalwareBytes Antimalware as well. Of all the antimalware programs, I truly believe it is the best at the moment.
