Default Temporarily Disable Avast A/V

Hi folks,

I'd like to know how to Temporarily Disable Avast A/V as I'm told its best to do this before running Ad-aware, or Skybot S & D.

Hope it not to techie as I'm not well up on these things.

Thanks in advance

Default Temporarily Disable Avast A/V

Right click the A icon in the system tray (bottom right of screen) then click 'Stop on-access protection'

I wouldn't advise this. If Spybot or Ad-aware try to remove malware (trojan, worm) that is capable of reproducing itself then you have nothing in pace to block it from being recreated.

Ooops, missed that, leave it running during a spybot/adaware scan.
