I have been using Panda Internet Security for two years never had any problems until now. Has anyone heard of a problem with it . It seem that as long as I an off line it will work fine but as soon as I go on line Panda turns it self off. . I have emailed the company and get NO Answer.
The only way I can get someone to even think of looking in to what is going on is to email there corp. Office in Europe and that takes 10 days for a reply.
Is there a virus that would be doing this?
I am to the point of thinking to find something new but there again I do not know what would be the best.
I have Windows Defender running in the back ground. so I can go on line with some risk on the pc.
Any one know of a good security program . Macfee and Norton are both out will not run on pc without problems.

My friend Tanya works for company that sells panda and something else cant remember , she said the programs terrible, i personally have never tried it so i couldn't vouch for her there but you might want to try some free alternatives such as Avast anti virus, and Spybot s&d. I wouldn't go with Norton or Mcafee, I've tried both and found that I have the same protection with less hassle using the free programs listed above.

Avast:

Spybot s&d:

You might want to give EvilFantasy or one of the members of the Malware team a PM about free alternatives aswell.

Hello Hopthworks,

I am a representative from Panda Security.

Are you sure you sent your question to the correct e-mail address? It's <EMAIL REMOVED, IF YOU WANT TO HELP PLEASE HELP HERE IN THE FORUMS> If you resend your e-mail ATTN:Computer-Juice then I will be able to verify that we received it.

Panda should not turn off when you connect to the Internet. How do you know it's really turning off? Does the Panda Bear in the system tray gray out or completely disappear or are you receiving some kind of notification?

The one thing you can be sure of is that Panda Internet Security works and that any problem is down to your particular circumstances and not to the package. That might not be a useful comment since you've no idea yet what's causing your problem but if it were part of the package it would have been a major news story, Panda is big.

Well after checking I see that I have had panda for three years and have spent around $375.00 and now today I see that my account is soon to end . That must be the reason for it to turn off . When I say turn off first the Icon turns gray thern disappears. Have 30 days left .
When I check panda it is only the Anti-virus that is turned off. The only way to get it to run again is to first enter pass word then restart computer and it is back on. for sometimes a day. Now as for Panda being big it must only be in Europe for when I tell people around here no one has heard of it.
Well now I am to use a forum to get service. I have tried panda's home page no luck . I have tried the tech suppoet that comes with panda no luck there and now there is a forum I need to use to get service . Sorry but after what I spent I would say to is another nail in the coffen.
I will have to look else where for something better.

Hello Hopthworks,

Unfortunately the moderators here will not allow me to post the e-mail address of our tech support line and It's hard for me to help you when I have to request personal identification information to be able to locate your account.

To answer your questions, yes, we are a leading security software company based in Europe. We have been expanding each year and have offices in many countries including the United States.

We are currently building an entire new support site (including forum) for our customers and we are always constantly on the lookout for our customers distress signals on other sites/forums (like this one). We are dedicated to offering a great product and great service to our customers and I apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced.

If you have had a Panda subscription for three years, chances are there is a new version of the software available to you at the download site (http://www.pandasecurity.com/homeuse...a=particulares)

I have forwarded the details of this Forum thread to our customer support team and they will respond to this thread first thing Tuesday morning (We're closed for holiday on Monday)

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and hope that we can continue to serve you as our customer.

Hey there hopthwoks, I am also a technician from the Panda US tech support team and would like to help you out on your issue if I may.

1. Tell me about the status of the self diagnosis when you preform this on the Panda Software

2. What is the status of the modules you have for your software. Example: Antivirus, Firewall, Unknown Threats etc .. are they all turning red on you as you go online or other times?

3. If you go to START > RUN > Type SERVICES.MSC and look at the Panda servicses are they all running or do you see some of them turned off?

4. What version and year of Panda are you running?

This will help me diagnose the problem that you are having or atleast get us started on troubleshooting your issue
