Default Is There Something Wrong with Panda Internet Security

Urbantank
Thanks for the help . But the mailman never delivered the disk. so as you know on March 15 2009 I would need to load the new Panda program. But I feel that I should try to find something new. I have Kaspersky now running and it has found many things. I am sorry I could not stay with Panda for it is one of the better programs. I need a safe internet security and Panda was not doing the job.

Today I get an email from Panda asking for information to fix the problem. It seems funny for it is two days after the program has expired that now I am getting help to fix the problem.
Only problem is I never printed the error messages out and that is what they are asking for.
As for the help that I was getting here it never happened the cd (disk) that Urbantank said he would have sent to me never came. If I could I would go back to using Panda but right now I have this infection on this computer that was never addressed by Panda. Until it is removed I need to keep working at finding a way to make this computer safe once again.

Panda is still not sure why I had the problem but I have decided to get them another try . Tryed to download there security program and had problem file would not run. Contacted Panda and they told me to first delete what was downloaded and then download it again . Just before the file was done computer turned off and lost all that was downloaded.
So I ordered it from Newegg to see if it is the computer or the download. I am starting to think it is my download speed that is the problem . Dial-up starts out fast and the ends slow.
Panda's main office is looking in to the problem I had. With Panda Internet Security 2008 to make sure it dose not happen this time around.

Wow, I'm impressed with Panda. I don't think I've EVER seen seen a company so proactive on searching websites for their name, then jumping in to try to solve problems. Other than the lost CD in the mail gig, I think you two fellers did a bang up job in trying to resolve an issue for a customer that was maybe a TAD hostile (LOL Hop, you were giving them hell).

I hope this works out for you Hop and glad that you were able to forgive them and reward tem for the effort they made.

Hat's off to you Panda folks.

Now new Panda Global Protection came to day . But will not auto load. Tryed to find files on disk but still will not load.
Autorun dose not work. Checked online how to get it to work and found the following that I have tryed and still nothing.
Autorun
start,then run, then regedit.
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_ MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom
Double-click the Autorun value, Type 1 for the its value.
Found the above and still not working.
But I also found this
AUTORUN ALWAYSD.............REG_MULTI_sz..........NEC...MB R-7......NEC....MBR-7.4,PIONEER CHANGR D
The files that are in that file are.
Auto Run Always Disable
Value Data
NEC MBR-7
NEC MBR-7-4
PIONEER CHANGER DRM-1804X
PIONEER CD-ROM DRM-6324X
PIONEER CD-ROM DRM-624X
TROiSAN CD-ROM CDR-C36
Could this be why I can not get the auto run to work.
Would like to download the new Panda someday

Hey Hop, have you run the steps and had Evil or one of the other guys look at your SAS, MaM, and HJT logs? SOunds to me like you need to get THEM to fix your problem if they haven't already done so. THEN lol if they have gotten rid of your viruses (viri?) and you STILL can't get autorun to work, ask about it in the software section, or the hardware section. It COULD be that you either need to update the firmware on your cd-rom, or the damn thing has just quit. I think at this point, all three are viable solutions. I would work the virus angle first, then the firmware/driver thing, THEN the dead player........

DO THE MALAWARE REMOVAL STEPS!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL look at the first thread in this section and do that stuff. I know the biggest problem you face is the dial up speed and the number of programs you need to download, but dude, suck it up and drive on, the time will be well spent. I feel fairly confident that it will clear your stuff up. I had a similar problem with a friend's computer. The malware wouldn't even let me download the stuff I needed to get to fix it. Evil walked me through that fix. He's a malware demon slayer, I know he can fix your stuff.

EDIT: Even with my limited knowledge at reading HJT logs, and what I have read on this thread about your problem, I'll bet you have several programs, like Java, flashplyers, ect, that you haven't updated. Do you even have your copy of windows updated?

Posted the logs you ask for . The two that I saw come up as virus were old security files. other then that I will leave it up to Evil to tell me what is wrong.
