I think i have a virus and need help to get rid of it, can anyone help me?

A decent antivirus like AVG or AVART should help a bit, they got rid of about 100 viruses on the computer im using

Guys malware writers now days write virus specifically to "trick" antivirus long enough to install itself. Nothing is bulletproof when it comes to security.

Let the OP work the Malware Removal Guide and post the results back.

If removing virus were that easy there wouldn't be the multitude of help forums on the net with people seeking assistance....

I am by far no expert and i think i have made this problem worse, the computer in question will no longer connect to the web. I tried to use winsock thinking it would improve slow connection but it completely disabled it and the backup i made beforehand failed.

If you don't post the log files as instructed in the guide we cannot help.

The log files show exacly what is wrong with the PC. Otherwise it's all guessing and hearsay.
