My internet explorer keeps coming up with a message saying it has encountered a problem and it needs to close. That happens randomly. The home page sometimes wont even load before that happens. I did virus checks and scans but nothing comes up. This just started happening about two days ago and before this I never had any problems. Im running on XP which is a virus magnet... i know. Does anyone know what this is and what i can do about it?

Make sure you run a DECENT firewall and anti-virus whenever using the internet to begin with. Secondly if you have an up to date virus scanner and it cannot find anything, it may be a different proble.

If you have anti-virus software running and it cannot find anything then it may well be another problem. Try updating Internet Explorer (if you have the latest, try re-installing).

Do you ever encounter other problems of a similar nature with other software?
