I don't use antiviral programs, I don't need them. If I did, I'd use NOD32, it's what I recommend to others.

I agree, a realtime time scanner is not strictly necessary if you know what you are doing and don't go visiting any shady websites, but I still think it is a good idea to have a scanner that you can manually run once in a while to check if there are any shady files lurking about. Even if it is just ClamWin.

Comodo internet security is good, but not as good as Avast, AVG or Avira. I would say it's reliable if you just do normal web surfing, IM, Email etc. But if you are into risky downloads and so on then I would use something else.

Use the Comodo firewall just not the entire Security Suite. It gets very high ratings. It will work alongside any of the free antivirus mentioned above.

I used to use a combination of Avast! and Comodo Firewall. Now I use the entire Comodo security suite. Cut down starting times a bit. One bad thing about the Comodo Antivirus, its heuristics are very buggy. Need to wait for a fix. After my first scan, almost every file on my computer was reported as a virus, with the heuristics enabled. After a google search, many users were experiencing this, and claimed it was a bug. Otherwise, the antivirus isn't too bad. The fix is to turn off heuristics scanning.
